The so-called “Cap and Trade” program to put a cap on carbon emissions and allow polluting companies to “trade” carbon pollution allocations is a scheme to put yet another hidden, burdensome tax on the working class, through higher prices, while lining the pockets of the same big Wall Street firms that raked off huge profits by destroying the economy with the housing bubble. I am firmly against it.

 It is a giant distraction from countless more effective steps that could and need to be taken to get America off of dependency on carbon fuels and improve the environment.
