Like Arnold Schwarzenegger, Governor of California, Vijay Kumar is a Naturalized Citizen of the United States. Originally, a native of Hyderabad, India Vijay has been a U.S. resident for 29 years, the last 22 of which he has lived in the great state of Tennessee. As you well know, there are hardly any of us who cannot find a love for the family or the land in which we were born. But like the early settlers of America, today’s immigrants followed their dream into a new reality, a greater vision of hope for themselves, their families, and their prosperity.

  In their native lands, they watched the honor of long held tradition give way stagnate political and social ideologies that increasingly served the interest of the few at the expense of the many. For others they watched as the fruits of theirs and their father’s labor was taken by others who remade their homelands into the image of a government and way of life foreign to everything they were taught to believe.

  Such issues are not foreign to the immigrants of America who have fled injustices and lack of opportunity all over the world to become “e pluribus umin”- out of many; one: uniquely American.

Now America faces challenges that modern immigrants have known all too well: Those who would use the very essence of liberty to create a bulwark against our individual freedoms.  These footholds exist in the forms of illegal immigration and the overt and sometimes seemingly innocuous demands of the global Islamist agenda.

 James Madison wrote that “We have seen the necessity of the Union, as our bulwark against foreign danger.”  Madison did not envision foreign fortifications within the bulwark that would serve to erode the country from the inside out. And that is the very real danger that our lack of diligence is creating through illegal immigration and liberal ideological apathy toward the global Islamist agenda that is Jihadist at its core.

 Congressional Candidate Vijay Kumar believes that the threat of Universal Jihad, known also as “Radical Islamist terrorism” is the Number One matter confronting all humanity. Vijay Kumar believes that The Universal Jihadists’ bombings are not limited to New York or London or Madrid. In fact, India has been the greatest victim of radical terrorism for the past 25 years.  The recent bombing of Jaipur, Rajasthan, and previous bombings of Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi and others bear witness to this fact.

  Who are these bombers? They are Universal Jihadists, and they go by different names in different countries. They advocate reestablishment of the Caliphate. They want “Talibanization” of the entire world.  Universal Jihadists demand theological, racial, political, and cultural supremacy over the rest of the world. They are products of a militant ideology and the ideology is what shapes them.

 This ideology—the Doctrine of Universal Jihad—is what Vijay Kumar believes we must confront and defeat. The battle is for intellectual and religious freedom. The alternative is unconditional surrender of the mind.

  Take the Example of Kashmir. “Demographic Conquest” is the most permanent form of conquest. Kashmir was a Hindu majority state for thousands of years. Through invasion, forcible evacuation, and conversion lasting centuries, Muslims became the majority in Kashmir. Now the Universal Jihadists are waging a guerilla war to secede from India.  They seek to impose Sharia law replacing the secular Indian Constitution.  The jihadi struggle in Kashmir is a grand theological rehearsal; the ultimate goal of Universal Jihadists is total conquest and  Islamization of India, and indeed the world.

 The current global terrorist attacks are simply a continuation of 1,400 years of Universal Jihad. Vijay Kumar believes that Western and other liberals have become lackeys of Universal Jihadists. They have been so cowered by “political correctness” that they actually serve as apologists for Universal Jihad.

 The Left and Muslim intellectuals have stated that terrorist attacks, to a significant proportion, are the consequence of America’s foreign policy in the Middle East and its support for Israel.  However, very few Americans or Jews live in places like India, Thailand, the Philippines, Bali, Nigeria, Sudan, Russia, and a host of other countries where jihad has been relentless.   It is completely disingenuous to decry the genocide of Darfur and ignore the root cause of that genocide, Universal Jihad.

 Candidate Vijay Kumar believes that The Bush Administration’s foreign policy of concentrating on Afghanistan and Iraq is not sufficient in scope or degree. The Bush Doctrine lacks coherence. Vijay Kumar believes that the goal should be absolute and unconditional surrender of Universal Jihadists and that this war must  be waged on multiple fronts: ideological, economic, and military.

IDEOLOGICALLY: We must uphold that the American view of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is infinitely superior to the jihadist worldview of terror, death, and destruction.
ECONOMICALLY: We must stop all forms of aid to terrorist supporting nations and groups, regardless of any short-term gain we derive from supporting them.
MILITARILY: We must create a coalition of democracies from nations that have historically been victims of global terror with the aim of jointly fighting the problem of terrorism.

  Vijay Kumar, Republican Candidate for the United States 5th Congressional District pledges to commit his congressional term to attack the problem of Universal Jihad in the ways necessary to defeat it:

  Vijay Kumar believes that policies that empower existing global resistance to jihadists are ultimately the answer over and above the vigilance of the American military.  But first, America must avoid an apathetic and isolationist view of the true threat it faces. The ability of jihadists to use such apathy to encroach upon world governments and later hold them hostage by the very democracy that they plan to later dismiss and replace with Sharia law is the genius of a movement that is infinitely more sophisticated than suicide bombers and military action.

  Vijay Kumar believes that the real war is on our laws, and on our American way of life. Tolerance does not require that one is complicit in or complacent about his or her own destruction. But rather it rests in the fundamental beliefs of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness that is the filament of that shining city on a hill.

  Much of what America is concerned about is its safety and the economy. In this age of Universal Jihad, the economy cannot be addressed at the expense of America’s vigilance in this battle. The jihadists know this and seek to use America’s economic confidence against it.  Despite the arguable policies of the current administration, this is not a war that America started. It is, however, a war that we must fight- from within; and without.
