The cultural continuity of American society is being disrupted because we are simply unable to assimilate immigrants thoroughly in the numbers we are being forced to deal with. Many, of course, come here legally and are eager to assimilate into American culture, but there are other cultures that also come legally with the express purpose of replacing the American way of life. These people seek to function as a state-within-a-state with laws based upon the culture of their homeland that are inconsistent with U.S. constitutional law. This is something we must not allow. For those here illegally, there should be no amnesty and all the immigration laws on the books must be rigorously enforced. Illegal immigration has become not just an economic issue, but a national security issue as well. The United States should only grant citizenship to those who want to embrace American values and culture.

We have and must continue to have one nation under God, one set of laws, and one people–joined together, communicating in English as our one and only official language. Linguistic divisions among people are as destructive as racial and religious divisions. We, as a nation, are blessed to have one language spoken by the majority of citizens. Let us keep it that way.

 I agree with Mike Huckabee that one way to stimulate the economy is to restructure our tax system and adopt the Fair-Tax plan. The Fair-Tax plan abolishes the IRS entirely and gets rid of federal personal and corporate income taxes. It will also eliminate gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, and self-employment taxes. The Fair-Tax replaces these taxes with one simple, visible, federal retail sales tax administered primarily by existing state sales tax authorities. Families would be taxed only on what they spend, not on what they earn, save, and wish to leave to their children. Money that is parked overseas in the so-called tax havens would come back into the United States economy. The United States would then become the tax haven of the world. Americans spend more than $150 billion dollars annually for the preparation of taxes. For what purpose? 

  Our health care delivery system is broken, and a bandage won’t fix it. It is time for thinking outside the box. No to Universal Health Care. The quality of healthcare delivery deteriorates in whichever country universal healthcare exists. Consumer-based health care is the answer, not employer-based. When consumers can purchase affordable health insurance privately, businesses will be competitive in the global market. Everyone benefits.

 I am pro-life, unwavering and without compromise. Adoption and education is the solution. Absentee fathers father the next generation of absentee fathers. The two-parent, father-mother family is the framework upon which family values are built. I see no reason to mince words under the guise of political correctness.

 Congress’s strategy for fighting the War on Terror isn’t working. There is a better way to win the global war against terrorism. It must be waged on multiple fronts: ideologically, financially, and militarily.

 We must declare an ideological war on militant Jihadists. The American view of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness is infinitely superior to the Jihadist worldview of terror, death, and destruction.

  We must leave Afghanistan immediately, because attempting to eradicate terror in Afghanistan is addressing only the symptoms of terrorism. Afghanistan, for all practical purposes, is a terrorist client state of other Islamic fundamentalist nations. It is entirely up to Muslim nations to determine whether they become a modern progressive Muslim state like Turkey, or a failed fundamentalist state like Afghanistan. Meanwhile, we should strengthen our ties with neighboring democratic nations and support their efforts to fight our common enemy, which is global terror.

 When we leave Iraq, it must be on our terms, not the terrorists’ terms. We must leave Baghdad only when we are confident that Iraq will not become a nation of militant jihadists and a serious threat to the United States and global security.
